Log Cabin Design

Pressed pleats was a technique popular in the late 19th-century. At that time crazy quilts were elevated to the parlor and America's favorite log cabin quilts were embellished with a small tuck or fold. The tucks create a simple texture around the center square of the typical log cabin block and can look contemporary or traditional depending on the choice of fabrics used. Easy techniques for finishing the blocks make this a great project for those new to quilting as well as experienced quilters. This is a great technique for a light-weight lap or baby quilt.
