"From
the very start, I never had a problem seeing quiltmaking as another
art medium. I liked everything about quilts -- the wealth of
good, solid design in their history and roots, the impact that
quilts have on our lives, their function, their connections,
their easy accessibility, their techniques. In my own work, I
strive for clean lines, simple statements, and clear graphics."
